finally. sunday. tears in our eyes and garbage everywhere. it was a mellow day, though. only had four-five concerts on the agenda. it still kicked off HARD with FIDLAR on Pavillion! stunningly mindblowing concert! so much fun. one of the very best concerts on my behalf at this years rf. and it was an eye-opener, as well. had never heard of the band until a guy in our camp strongly recommended it. he didn't do us wrong:
gonna be listening to these guys a lot from now on.
well! the sunday went on in a slight haze. we just randomly walked about and enjoyed being at the most incredible place of all. drank wine, a shit-ton of drafted beer and ate dried alligator (that i bought in new orleans) in front of Orange while sitting on the grass with Black Rebel Motorcycle Club on stage. it was the most perfect way to spend that sunday afternoon, it will go down in history as one of the most relaxed and purely blissful moments on rf!
aaaaaahnd then. queens of the stone age at Orange. we got into the pit and stood just in front of the mixing-boards. i fucking loved it. they played a ton of classics from Songs for the deaf, and some new ones that really hit the spot. i danced and shouted like an idiot. last concert and band for this year that i could relate to somehow. just too bad they couldn't play any longer. just as they got warmed up they had to go off the stage early because of kraftwerk. ah well, whatever little we got, was good:
and i totally started obsessing about a tune that i cannot get out of my head.
