OOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
okay this does it.
being vegan has proven quite a struggle.
why?
i feel like somethings dangerously wrong if i don't eat fish from time to time.
all the rest are long gone. in fact, i get sick just thinking about cheese and milk and eggs'n such.
but fish.
at the very least it's the fish my dad (and sometimes i) catch.
and very little of it.
but.
ach.
i want to become vegan.
it's the greatest gift i can give myself haha. at the moment that's a fact, it matches all my values o so well.
no conflict there.
(...but elsewhere)
so. that's about it from me today.
flea ridden /moth eaten
my obsession of things

except for worn out shoes

if ever in doubt
500,000 animals are slaughtered in the United States every HOUR for meat
100 acres of land produce enough beef for only 20 people, whereas those same 100 acres can produce enough wheat to feed 200 people.
440 million tons of grain are fed to cattle each year, while 500 million people starve to death in poor countries.
One child dies of malnutrition every 2.3 seconds. If Americans reduced their meat consumption by 10%, one hundred million people could be fed using that freed up land.
Half of the world’s rainforests have been razed for cattle grazing for beef. Most of these rainforests are in poor countries, and the meat is exported to wealthy countries like the United States. Half of Central America’s rainforests have been deforested to provide the U.S. with meat.
90% of the plant and animal species on earth live in the tropics, some of which have yet to be identified. Every day more of these species are brought to extinction as a result of Americans eating meat.
High levels of pesticides, tranquilizers and antibiotics commonly used in livestock enter your bloodstream when you consume meat. Of all the antibiotics used in the U.S., 55% are given to livestock.
It takes 14 gallons of water to produce a pound of wheat but it takes 2,500 gallons to produce ONE pound of beef. If taxpayers did not subsidize these water costs, beef would cost $35.00 a pound.
85% of the four million acres of topsoil lost each year is due to raising livestock. In order to make up for this loss, we destroy forests. Since 1967, the rate of deforestation in the United States has been one acre every five seconds. For each acre cleared in urbanization, seven are cleared for grazing or growing livestock feed.
Each time you replace a meat meal with a vegetarian one, you save at least 2.5 pounds of greenhouse gases.
Reducing meat consumption by 20% (1 1/2 days per week) is the equivalent of switching to a hybrid car.
sorry for the americanized pov on these ones, but what the hey.

the amazing power of
sleep
i've slept through this whole night, for the first time in months, almost. ohmygodohmygodohmygod how wonderful
i'm almost extatic, and grand islands new album is on my ear, it's crazy good!
(also, should mention, i've been eating only raw food for three days stright now. it was quite a struggle yesterday but i made it but i just now had a cup of coffee because of the habit of it and because i've no personality without it but seriously yesterday sure was a struggle. but i'm not getting any good detox with coffee in the diet but ammagad i feel good and ammagad the album is amazing, i like it more and more gotta buy it, feel it, play it out too loud and dance dance dance)
so. other than that:
my sister is in Chamonix. my brother is in the bedroom next to this wall and he ate all my dates yesterday, i oughta kill/rid me of that little bastard, and i am here, on my way to tromsø soon. can't wait. gonna meet my family and my niese, and and and hopefully spend way too much money on Platekompaniet. they have a decent shop there, but not too good. but what the hey :..: it's enough to make me bankrupt
well well fare the well

Welly vell
i got a bit carried away by department of eagles yesterday.
but.
songs from østra knoll 1:22 is flowing easily on it's way to become very addictive!
ah. i just needed to give it more than one listen before it's fair to give my opinion. i want this album, since i tend to collect em.
grand island, you've done it again! ..::thanks
and the more time i spend listening to it, the more it gives in return.
now that's an album. even tho my opinion's a bit shredded from time to time.
Lovely.!!.
i have this album, bought it last year in november i reckon
and it is magnificent. i absolutely love it, but it's at it's best use when you get to dance, walk or just absorbed somehow you see fit.
i love it.
and i'm hoping i'll come to love østra knoll as much ::::::::.-- :,.--.,
i will now use this opportunity to recommend boys & brutes.
i recommend it.
listen to it.
it's good. and abmitious. and fun. and a wee bit too much energy. (almost)

what a Nasty SurpriseesirpruS ytsaN a tahw
i hardly know what day today's day is
but. Grand Island is now out on spotify and everywhere else with their album. listened through it this morning, before moving over to department of eagles, and i'll come back with what i thinks later.
it sounds somewhat the same but yet different, more grounded, than their previous boys & brutes. with some awesome guestartist such as janove ottesen (kaizers orchestra) and a personal favorite of mine, steven wilson (superfamily).
this looks o so attractive.
then. my next move was scanning platekompaniet.no for music that seems interesting. scanning and searching, flipping and flapping, flopping about, and after 5 minuites and some restrictions i ended up with a pricetag for 16 various cds..
no less than 1951,50 kr :) MeWantee!
i have a thing for cds, they blow my mind each time i purchase one (or twenty)
eepheepeep.
that's truly purly Awe inspiring
including an album by department of eagles i found and just finished listening to at spotify. actually, this really hits the spot. i've just one listen, but i'm glad i found it! reminds me a lot of what i love about grizzly bear and something something more. it has a lot to it. and daniel rossen (of grizzly bear, an amazing guitarist and has vocals from here to trias, plays a part in this beautiful mashuppiece of brilliance represented as a band.
some of their work;
In Ear Park - 2008
The Cold Nose - 2006
A Johnny Glaze Christmas: Classical Snatches And Samples A Go-Go 2003-2005
but seriously. listen to them.
they sell it for cheapandnothing on platekompaniet atm.
seriously. listen to It. All. Most.
(i'm at least reminding myself to here)

HOWWOH
eeeeeems like one of my pets
plan on releasing a new album on 25th of january.
the band is
Grand Island
i have their album Boys & Brutes, and it is one of my favorites.
norwegian fivespan with some giant ambitions in their style and performance, it's fun lovin'. the vocalist has an impressive voice, unlike anything. i'll probably leave to catch them live in bergen, i hope. the city with the toxic air, "it'll kill you!"
i'm pretty excited and very curious about the newcomer, called Songs From Østra Knoll 1:22.
how i got into them - their single "love in decay" made me as euphoric as being able to fly with a small, planeshaped balloon.
if only they would play that tune while i'm on the dancefloor at late hours.
"Say no to sin" - the debut.
and i just found out they played at parken06. HAHa..a.. eAjnef.
..fakk, i've always wanted them to come play for ur..

again down that road againnnnn
I am the key to the lock in your house
That keeps your toys in the basement
And if you get too far inside
You'll only see my reflection
It's always best when the choir is out
I am the pick in the ice
Do not cry out or hit the alarm
You know we're friends till we die
And either way you turn
I'll be there
Open up your skull
I'll be there
Climbing up the walls
It's always best when the light is off
It's always better on the outside
Fifteen blows to the back of your head
Fifteen blows to your mind
So lock the kids up safe tonight
Shut the eyes in the cupboard
I've got the smell of a local man
Who's got the loneliest feeling
That either way he turns
I'll be there
Open up your skull
I'll be there
Climbing up the walls
Climbing up the walls

the album of my life
it's like a portal to somewhere all things add up and makes even more sense
i absolutely love it. if i ever loved anything, this must be it.

"""""The real question should be what is healthiest? The answer is a vegan diet (wth high quantities of veggies, fruits, legumes, nuts and seeds) supplemented with B-12 and DHA is the healthiest. We are in a rare position today that we don't have to eat what is grown within a few mile radius, we have supermarkets which import healthy produce from all over the world. Little about how we eat today is "natural" in the original sense of the word. But we are afforded an opportunity to eat healthier than at any other time in our history. I say take advantage of that and eat all the healthy produce year round, and supplement the diet when necessary with b-12 and DHA."""""

For my part I rather wonder both by what accident and in what state of soul or mind the first man did so, touched his mouth to gore and brought his lips to the flesh of a dead creature, he who set forth tables of dead, stale bodies and ventured to call food and nourishment the parts that had little before bellowed and cried, moved and lived. How could his eyes endure the slaughter when throats were slit and hides flayed and limbs torn from limb? How could his nose endure the stench? How was it that the pollution did not turn away his taste, which made contact with the sores of others and sucked juices and serums from mortal wounds? It is certainly not lions and wolves that we eat out of self-defence; on the contrary, we ignore these and slaughter harmless, tame creatures without stings or teeth to harm us, creatures that, I swear, Nature appears to have produced for the sake of their beauty and grace. But nothing abashed us, not the flower-like like tinting of the flesh, not the persuasiveness of the harmonious voice, not the cleanliness of their habits or the unusual intelligence that may be found in the poor wretches. No, for the sake of a little flesh we deprive them of sun, of light, of the duration of life to which they are entitled by birth and being." - Plutarch

"As a Hindu guru, A. C. Prabhupada once said in his book, "Now we drop bombs on other people from airplanes rather than rolling big rocks to the top of a hill and dropping them on our enemies like ancients did. Where is the progress in that?" "
